What is more important than the survival of the human species? Perhaps the survival of the planet's biosphere? But with our limited attention span and the fact that all species and ecosystems are intimately intertwined within the biosphere, perhaps we are forgiven for prioritizing humanity. Either way, I believe a majority of us would agree that survival of the human species is a top priority, yet most of us can't be bothered. We are all occupied elsewhere with elsewhat. In hindsight, the human species will be seen as a thoughtless, destructive, perverse abomination torn apart and ultimately devoured by individual egos determined to win at all costs. Yet most of us can't be bothered.
